Joe McElderry denies Gay rumours

X Factor winner Joe McElderry has ended speculations about his sexuality, insisting he's straight.

The speculation whether he's gay or not came from his girly moves, skinny frame and the fact he doesn't fancy his mentor Cheryl Cole(!). He said:"I don't fancy Cheryl, she's stunning looking woman but she's just a friend"

18-year-old also admitted he has had girlfriends in the past but has not slept with any of them. Moreover, he has imposed a sex ban on himself so he can concentrate on the music.

He told The Sun newspaper:"I'm straight. I've had girlfriends, but I don't have one right now. I haven't slept with anyone, but I'm a young la and I'm concentrating on my music. At the moment, the last thing on my mind is girlfriend. I know I'll probably get offers but – for me - it's all about singing"

And it should be as youngster is to be whisked to a life of celebrity and sun in Los Angeles where as Simon is planning he's going to become a superstar.
